Being afflicted with a heavy cold or yet a flu, waht kind of ever, I was heavily concerned with the idea whether to vaccinate against the swine flu or not? It is said, there is a “Pandemrix” available which contains a “booster” substance. This “adjuvant” causes a stronger immune system´s respond, which can particularly be dangerous for pregnant women, childeren, and chronically ill patients. On the other hand, vaccinating is the only measure to stop the dissemination of the virus. The following site impressively illustrates the stus quo of the infestation: map of the spread of the swine flu. In Berlin, however, about 1000 cases of the ailment are reported. Allegedly, 9 patients have already fallen victim to the swine flu virus. That is really alarming to me!
For my experience, it is terrible to get ill, especially now, when we are all trying to keep pace with our demanding study. One feels so powerless against the weakness when being ill. If there is a real possibility to protect oneself against this unpredictable enemy, it is probably advisable to get vaccinated. Don´t you think so?
Let me know what do you think about this issue. By the way, they start tomorrow a broad vaccination campaign in Berlin. Everybody can get his “shot” easily and for free.
Keep well and fit!
